Rhodri Price re—emerges from The Rabbit Hole

Following a five—year hiatus, DJ and Haŵs label co—founder, Rhodri Price, is back with his brand new release, ‘The Rabbit Hole’ — a three—track collaborative outing with French producer, Little by Little

Rhodri Price, producer and co—founder of Welsh record label and event promoters, Haŵs, first released material in 2019 as he then—leant towards the textured, glitchy samples of UK garage soundscapes. Five years later, Rhodri is back behind the decks with his much—anticipated second EP, after quietly crafting and fine—tuning his sound.

Released via Seafront Recordings on 2nd May 2025, ‘The Rabbit Hole’ first came to existence as one of his favourite producers, Little by Little, reached out to him via Instagram. Having bought Little by Little’s first album in 2015, a purchase that ignited his long—standing admiration for the Paris—based beatmaker, Rhodri eagerly jumped at the chance to collaborate. The outcome? Three tracks rooted in the spirit of UK club culture, blurring past and present into something raw, trippy, and built for big systems.

During the last five years, Rhodri has delved deep into the vast world of dance music, unearthing a diverse collection of samples that form the foundation of his latest EP. Driven by his fascination with audio sampling and the creative reuse of drumbeats and musical motifs, Rhodri’s work reflects a rich tapestry of influences. ‘The Rabbit Hole’ is a nod to the heyday of 90’s electronic music — featuring influences from Chicago, Detroit, and New York as well as the DIY scenes of the early hardcore and breakbeat movement in London and Essex.

The first of three tracks, ‘Kick the Bass’, is the result of countless versions and late—night tweaks, “a true labour of love between myself and Little by Little,” as Rhodri recalls. Heavy low—end, gritty breaks, and a distinct UK bass influence drives the track forward. It's a blend of raw pressure and precision. Bold and punchy, Rhodri admits, “it's built for the rave subculture.”

After sitting on the shelf for three years, the project's second track, ‘That Sort of Thing’, was revisited late last year as both producers experimented with different beats to pay homage to the golden era of 90s rave — fusing gritty breaks, nostalgic rave stabs, and a warped bassline that drags you deep into the dancefloor haze. “Pure warehouse energy with a modern twist,” says the Aberdaron—born Cardiff—rooted producer.

The final piece of the puzzle is the techno—inspired, ‘Free the Beast’. Rhodri describes the track as “a nod to classics like DJ Seduction’s ‘Bleep Bleep Mash Mash’, whilst carving out its own personality. Built around warped synth stabs, punchy drums, and vocal samples lifted from the cult sci—fi film, The Brain From Planet Arous, this one showcases the creative power of sampling.”

Here, we get three tightly—packed, high—octane tracks that see Rhodri Price re—emerge from The Rabbit Hole, in full pursuit. Dive in here:
